Reports to: Deputy Manager for Civic Engagement, VRD/PTV

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

As of March 7, 2022, LDF transitioned to a hybrid work environment. Any candidate selected for this position should be prepared to work in the office location assigned at least two days per week.

LDF seeks a dedicated Digital Organizer to envision, build, and manage the VRD/PTV digital platforms and campaigns. The Digital Organizer maintains primary responsibility for VRD/PTV’s digital organizing communications. The Digital Organizer is responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of the VRD/PTV project’s volunteer and community outreach efforts through digital platforms. The role reports to the Deputy Manager for Civic Engagement of the VRD/PTV Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital strategies to support VRD/PTV’s volunteer recruitment, engagement, and management efforts through the use of software and digital tools, including SMS, email, website, and other digital platforms.
  • Cultivate and maintain an active online community through list building and engagement by creating digital calls to action and adapting messaging across digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with Field Coordinators to coordinate campaign goals, develop concepts, adapt, and produce content to engage and mobilize our online community to take action.
  • Develop, coordinate, and prepare materials for the LDF Voting Rights Microsite.
  • Ensure a timely response system is in effect at all times for incoming reports of voter suppression via digital platforms.
  • Coordinate texting and phone banking campaigns to voters and volunteers, including developing scripts and coordinating with partners and outside vendors.
  • Participate in evaluation of digital content and campaign metrics to guide and informs future content and strategies as part of a culture of continuous, data-driven learning and evaluation
  • Collaborate with Communications and Organizing teams to develop integrated digital content and campaigns.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred field of study: Elections, Politics, Voting Rights, Communications
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent writing, telephone, and communications skills.
  • Must be highly motivated and have a commitment to civil rights and the mission of LDF.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Possess excellent administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Possess excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and internet research skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work in a high-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000.
