Leah Wong

Leah Wong joins the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) as an Attorney in 2023, where she focuses on defending and advancing voting rights and racial justice through an integrated advocacy approach of litigation, community organizing, and policy advocacy. 

She previously worked as a Deputy Associate Counsel in the Biden-Harris Administration, where she vetted and prepared presidential appointees and judicial candidates for Senate confirmation hearings. During the 2020 presidential election, she served as a Regional Voter Protection Director for the Pennsylvania Democrats, where she organized and oversaw thousands of volunteer lawyers on pre- and post- election administration and litigation issues. Leah has also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Kiyo Matsumoto on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and practiced at the law firm, Latham & Watkins, LLP.

Leah Wong obtained her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where she was the co-president of the American Constitution Society, Public Interest Chair for the Asian & Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and Development Editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California. Leah is the proud daughter of immigrants and currently resides in Sunset Park in Brooklyn, New York.
