Natalie Thigpen

Natalie Thigpen joined LDF in December 2023 as the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer.  As an accomplished communications and marketing professional with 20+ years of experience, Natalie has a deep understanding of how critical it is to continuously deploy and evolve best-in-class programs and tactics to drive the success of an organization.

In previous roles in higher education, healthcare and not-for-profit management, Natalie successfully developed and executed multi-year communications strategies to promote national and international brands. Natalie has a proven track record of engaging diverse audiences, including constituents, supporters, influencers, decision-makers, funders, and the media. Natalie is also experienced in crisis communication.

Career highlights include the creation of Voices of Our Times, presidential biographer lecture series at Seton Hall University which increased alumni engagement and giving; development of an award-winning advertising campaign for the Summit Health MD Anderson Cancer Center which built awareness and interest in the new cancer center; and creation of the Summit Health and CityMD Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program which resulted in improved scores for the metrics, I believe this organization I committed to DEI, and I feel a sense of belonging, among Black, LGBTQ, Hispanic and women employees.

Natalie holds an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University and a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
