Santino Coleman serves as Assistant Counsel at the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc. (“LDF”). Prior to joining LDF, Santino was a Staff Attorney with the Federal Defender Program for the Northern District of Illinois, where he represented people accused of federal crimes. Santino also worked as an attorney in the Capital Habeas Unit at the Federal Defenders for the Middle District of Alabama, where he represented death-sentenced clients in federal habeas proceedings.

Santino received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina. After law school, Santino clerked for the Honorable Margaret B. Seymour of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. He is a native of Columbia, South Carolina.
