Tiffani Burgess is an Economic Justice Fellow with LDF. She joins LDF from the ACLU Racial Justice Program where she served as the 2020 Marvin M. Karpatkin Fellow. She graduated cum laude from Cornell University in 2011 with a B.A. in Anthropology and completed her J.D. at Columbia Law School in 2020. Prior to law school, Tiffani worked for D.C. Public Schools, the Equal Justice Initiative, and Orleans Public Defenders. As a law student, she served as an Essays and Reviews Editor for the Columbia Law Review and Advocacy Co-President of the Student Public Interest Network. She also completed internships with the National Employment Law Project, LDF, and the Knight First Amendment Institute.
