Today, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) joined the Leadership Conference, Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, and Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund in writing a letter to Congress, United States governors, and state election officials to adopt key policies to ensure both the public’s safety and the orderly conduct of the 2020 primary and general elections in light of the current threat posed by COVID-19. In the face of this pandemic, it is crucial that our leaders keep our elections free, accessible, and fair.
