Today, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) Associate Director-Counsel Janai S. Nelson testifies before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Elections. The focus is on the threats to voting rights since the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision 2013 decision in Shelby County, Alabama v. Holder and LDF’s efforts to protect and expand the voting rights of Black people through litigation and other forms of advocacy.
